Draakyn

When the influence of a dragon infiltrates the bloodline of a mortal family, draakyns are the result. Draakyns manifest their dragon forebear and their specific abilities and coloration vary according to their heritage.

Generations might pass between a dragon’s direct influence and the time a draakyn child is born, either because a dragon took a humanoid form and took a lover, or just the family living near a particularly powerful dragon or area of draconic magic. Unfortunately for the draakyn, they share some superficial physical similarities to tieflings (primarily strange colorations and horns), which is enough for the bad reputation of tieflings to rub off on the draakyn for less worldly folks.

Physical Description

Draakyns have some scales along the temples, reaching to some small horns, their shoulders, and some other places. These scales, horns (and eye color) match the color of their dragon parentage.

Draakyn Versatile Heritage

Uncommon

You descend from dragons and manifest this connection through scales, eye color, horns, and (usually) innate arcane ability. You gain the dragon trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. You also gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from draakyn feats and from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

Choose your draconic bloodline from the table below. This indicates the color of your features as well as the specifics of some of the draakyn ancestry feats.
